Derek J. “D-Rock” Green, age 33, left us for the highway in the sky on Sept. 21, 2016. Visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016, from 6-7 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 7 p.m.
Derek was preceded in death by his infant sons, David Jerome Green Jr. and Derek Jayden Green.
He is survived by his wife, Shannon Marie Green; son, Dustin; daughter, Destiny; mother, Pamela Allen Hall; father, David Jerome Green (Kathy); sisters, Shayna (David) and Lacey; brothers, David Joshua, James (Tonia), Allen, Josh Balentine, and Jimbo; numerous nieces and nephews; and countless people he considered family. This was a big blended and extended family with no halfs or steps; only love.
His love of motorcycles began at an early age. He lived his life by the bikers’ creed. He was an organ donor, because he was a loving and selfless person who wanted to help others. He was a simple man and lived his life simply.
