Denzil C, King – Obituary

Mr. Denzil C, King, age 80, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2015, after a long battle with cancer. He was born on Dec. 13, 1934, to his parents Neal A and Lottie King.
The visitation will be Sunday, May 3, 2015, from 1-3 p.m. at Akins Funeral Home followed by the 3 p.m. funeral in Akins Funeral Home chapel with Brother Richard Crumpton officiating. Interment will be in Franklin Memory Garden.
Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Burns Fleming, Charlie Carruth, and Clyde Hallmark.
If you had a cup of coffee or a shade tree to sit under and time to chat, he was your friend forever. Denzil spent over 20 years as manager of Franklin Co-op, Colbert Co-op, and Leighton Co-op. The family would like to thank Dr. Mann, Alacare Health Care, and Hospice.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Neal A. and Lottie King, brother, Grady King, nephew, Clay King, and stepgrandson, Corey Carruth.
Mr. King is survived by his wife of 54 Years, Patsy King; children, Phil King, Karen Carruth and husband, Charlie, and Neal B. King and wife, Paula; the sunshine of his life, his granddaughter, Megan King; and two great-grandchildren, Connor and Trinity Carruth.
He is also survived by his stepgrandcildren, Colby Lancaster, Chad and wife, Amber, Carruth, and Sarah Carruth, and a sister, Rebecca Dickinson and husband, Bill.
