Mr. Dennis Ray Weatherford, age 71, resident of Columbia, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
A graveside service will be held at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Dennis was born on April 22, 1955 in Columbia, and was the son of the late Edward Weatherford and the late JoAnn Roberts Weatherford. Known for his outgoing personality he made friends easily and this led to a career as an entrepreneur. A former employee of Monsano until it closed, he sold real estate and most recently worked selling cars at Parks Motor Sales. He enjoyed golfing, going to Panama City Beach, boating, horses, and was an avid Vols fan. A loving son, brother, father, and grandfather, he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, especially by his close friend Cathy Creel.
He is survived by his sons: Daniel Rhea Weatherford, Ben Adam Weatherford, sister, Diane Weatherford, grandchildren, Jadon Weatherford, Tyler Weatherford, Trent Weatherford, the mother of his children, Tina Weatherford, and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, John Michael Weatherford.
