Dennis John Smith
was born in Santa Monica, California on October 17, 1947, the son of the late John and Elizabeth Knoft Smith.
On February 14, 2002, he was united in marriage to Emily Josephine Smith, who survives.
Dennis lived most of his life in San Joaquin County, California and retired after 30 years from Temple Island Corrugated Board Company. In his spare time he loved bass fishing and bowling. Dennis and his son, Jack would go on small fishing tournaments in the Delta area in California.
He departed this life on Friday, October 31, 2025 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 78 years and 14 days.
In addition to his wife Emily of Savannah, Tennessee, Dennis is survived by his son, Jack Smith of Turlock, California; grandchildren, Landon, Hunter, Jet, Lyndsay, Chelsea, and Savannah; and brother, Donald Smith of Adamsville, Tennessee.
