Dennis Freeman Depew, 64 of Athens, Alabama, died Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at his residence. Mr. Depew was born December 5, 1956 in Madison County, he was a member of the Church of Christ. He was a retired Private Investigator and a U.S. Navy Veteran. Services will be 11am Friday at Spry Funeral Home Chapel in Athens with Alan Dvorak officiating and burial in Sunnyhill Cemetery with Military Honors. Survivors: Wife, Mitzi Carter Depew of Athens. Sons, Dennis Freeman (Sherry) Depew II of Harvest, AL and Daniel (Bonnie) Depew of Athens. Grandchildren, Brianna Griffin, Joshua Griffin, Monica Levens and Elijah Depew. Sister: Dena Wiser of Athens. Brother, Bill Depew of Huntsville, AL. Several Nieces and Nephews. Preceded in death by, Parents, William and Martha Depew. Brother, David Depew.
