Denis Keith Shelly, 73 of Athens, passed away on Saturday, February 21st, 2026, at Grandview Medical Center, in Birmingham, Alabama. Mr. Shelley was born on June 14th, 1952, to Elmer Shelley, Sr. and Betty Lou Ballard Shelley.
Mr. Shelley is survived by his wife Lois Shelley; son Justin Shelley; brothers Elmer Shelley and Richard Shelley (Cindy); sister Denise Kroech (Joe); and a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life will be at a later date.
Mr. Shelley will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
