Funeral service for Delsie Gardner Walls, age 87, of Decatur,
will be Friday, August 16, 2013, 2:00 p.m.,
at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel
with Rev. Dwight Nesmith officiating.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service.
Entombment will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
Mrs. Walls, who died Sunday, August 11, 2013,
at Brian Center Nursing Care, Columbia, SC,
was born March 9, 1926, in North Carolina,
to John R. Gardner and Annie Estelle Moore Gardner.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Fred Walls,
and her son, Joe Thomas Walls.
She is survived by one daughter,
Amelia Anne “Amy” Duernberger of Columbia, SC;
and six grandchildren, Kimberley Duernberger, Laura Walls,
Scott Duernberger, Beth Walls, Tom Hand, and Heather Hand.
She is loved yesterday, today, and forever.
