Delores Wallace Rook – Obituary

Delores Wallace Rook, age 85, of Killen, passed away Dec. 30, 2013, at Helen Keller Hospital after a brief illness. She was a native of Minerva, Ohio and was a resident of Lauderdale County for the past 60 years. She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church and retired as a registered nurse.

The family will receive friends Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, from 10 a.m. until noon at St. Michael’s Catholic Church followed by a funeral Mass celebrated by Father Edward Markley and interment in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Rook was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Rook; and her daughter, Debra Rook Myers.

She is survived by her son, Donald G. Rook and wife, Theresa; son-in-law, Michael Myers; daughters, Karen Holden and husband, David, Linda Price, Mary Cowan and husband, David, and Margaret Robinson and husband, Brian; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and best friend, Jerrie Dozier.

Pallbearers to serve are James Price, Sean Price, Nic Rook, Duke Cowan, Jeffrey Robinson and Stephen Robinson. Honorary pallbearer is Michael Myers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Michael’s Building Fund or Susan G. Komen for the Cure Breast Cancer Fund.

Arrangements are by Greenview Funeral Home.
