Delores “Pat” Farmer Hall, 83, of Huntsville passed away on October 11, 2021.
Pat was the first born child of Mack and Bessie Farmer in Albertville, AL; graduating from Albertville High School in May 1956. She started a 47 year career as a civil servant at Redstone Arsenal in August 1956. After retiring from government civil service, she worked as a contractor for ten more years continuing to support our soldiers by testing and supporting contract-writing systems for the Army.
Pat took photography courses at University of Alabama Huntsville, volunteered at the Huntsville Botanical Gardens and was a member of Huntsville Community Chorus. She was a member of the Fellowship Club at First Baptist Church and enjoyed taking trips with them.
The most important thing to Pat has always been her family. She was a selfless giver in love and deed to her family members, friends and neighbors. She was also a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. She shared that faith with her family.
Survivors include a daughter Shannon Hall Shelton, sister, Anita Gay Farmer, brother, Gary Randall Farmer and his wife, Trish. A dear family friend Jim Lumpkin. Nieces Millie Farmer Savage, Kerri Farmer Stanley (Todd), Nephews Chris Farmer (Carolyn) and Corey Farmer. Great nephews Mack Savage (Elizabeth), Zackery Savage, Dillon Gilbert, Griffin Gilbert, August Farmer, Gavin Stanley and Ty Stanley and a great niece Camden Farmer. Also several great-great nieces and nephew. She also has many special cousins she was very close to.
She joined her departed loved ones in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on the 10/11/21. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mack and Bessie Farmer and a brother, Tony McKinley Farmer.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 14th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM with a service on Friday, October 15th at 11:00 AM in the Chapel at Berryhill Funeral Home. Burial will be at Memory Hill in Albertville, AL.
Memorial donations may be made to Huntsville Hospital Foundation, Hospice Family Care or First Baptist Church or Huntsville Botanical Gardens.
