Della Mae Holcombe, age 94, of Florence, passed away Monday, Aug. 12, 2013. Visitation was Tuesday, August 13, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will be today at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Greg Woodard and Brother Tim Buchanan officiating. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Allen Moody, Jason Brewer, Michael Bevis, J. T. Grimes, John Luffman and Tracey Wear.
Della was a member of First Baptist Church of Greenhill and retired with the Lauderdale County School system.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Almon Holcombe; parents, Leonard and Lola Abston; son, Gary Holcombe; and brother, Alva Abston.
She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Dianne Holcombe.
