Delia Marie Baggett Henry, 85, of Florence, AL, cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed from this life Wednesday, March 26, 2025. Marie was born Dec. 15, 1939, in Holly Grove, AR, to Harvey Sylvester and America Louise Young Baggett. Marie’s memory and legacy is carried on by her daughter, Elizabeth M. (John L.) Campbell; son, James Stephen (Froydis Heyerdahl-) Henry; grandchildren, Kristoffer Campbell, Stephanie Campbell Young, Louis Henry Heyerdahl, Stella Heyerdahl; and sister, Thelma Baggett Kent. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Preston Henry; her parents; brothers, Roy Baggett, John Baggett, Paul Baggett; and sisters, Pat Baggett McGuire and Helen Baggett McCurdy. Love, compassion, faithfulness, generosity, bravery…just words, but each one a testament to who Marie Henry was in her years on this earth. Small in stature, but huge in heart, she always looked for the good in life. She believed in us, encouraged us, and helped us follow our dreams. We are better people because of Marie Henry. She will be missed.
