DeeAnn Louise Thompson – Obituary

DeeAnn Louise Thompson, 55, of Arab, died Saturday, February 11, 2017 at her daughter’s residence in Arab after a 15 year battle with cancer.
Ms. Thompson was born February 5, 1962 in Racine, Wisconsin to Dale Charles Podhola and Joan Helen Felcht. She was employed by CPAC-Redstone Arsenal in Human Resources in the Personnel Office until her retirement. She moved to Arab in 1990 from Wisconsin. She enjoyed shopping, working and loved spending time with her grandchildren and being involved in their activities.
She was of the Lutheran Faith.
Ms. Thompson is survived by her children and in-laws: Nicholas and Daphne Thompson and Casey and Dakota Helton; the father of her children: Michael Thompson; her grandchildren: Ty Thompson, Arria Helton, Deklan Helton, Ronon Helton and Drake Thompson; two sisters and a brother-in-law: Debora and Tom Riegelman and Doreen Richter.
A Memorial Service will be held at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel at 6:00 p.m. on February 15, 2016 with Brother: Michael King, officiating and Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Relay for Life.
