Antone Lamar Yarbrough
DECATUR-On Friday, May 20 a shooting took place near Country Club Road and Highway 67. Decatur Police made an arrest of a suspect in the shooting on Sunday, May 22:
“On May 20th, 2016 at approximately 8:00 PM, Officers from the Decatur Police Department responded to a shooting at the intersection of Hwy 67 and Country Club Rd.
Once on scene officers located the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to Huntsville Hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Units from the Decatur Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division arrived on scene and began an investigation into the shooting. During the course of the investigation Antone Lamar Yarbrough was developed as a suspect.
On May 22nd, 2016 Yarbrough was located and arrest on unrelated warrants through the City of Decatur.
Subsequent to the investigation Yarbrough was charged with Assault in the 2nd Degree.
Yarbrough will be transferred to the Morgan County Jail when his bond is set.
Assault in the 2nd Degree is a class C Felony.”
