Debra Doreen EstridgeDebra Doreen Estridge, loving wife of Ted Estridge Jr, went home to be with Jesus on Friday, March 22nd, 2024.

Debra was born on May 21st, 1954 to Thomas H & Irene Dean. Having lost her mother at just 5 years old, she was raised by her Father & Step Mother Marcell Carpenter Dean.

In her early thirties she found Jesus Christ as her savior & served him all the rest of her days. She became happily wed to her husband on November 4th, 1987, gaining daughters Candi and Kaye through their union. Several years later she became a Grandmother to Autumn Estridge, Courtney Hill (Caleb), Brianna Laws (Matthew), Andrew Studt (Mikayla), Brayden Back & Kaylee McGlothen, along with four great grandchildren.

In her work life she dedicated over 30 years to Benchmark before retirement. She loved Alabama football & was ever ready with a “roll tide!” for any fellow Bama fan, but she loved and supported her “war eagle” friends and family as well. Debra’s love language was gift giving, which went along perfectly with her love for shopping. During her lifetime she gave many gifts, traveled many places, and most of all was loved fiercely by her caregiver/ husband Ted.

Debra is survived by her husband and daughters; Candi (Rick) Back & Kaye (Chris) McGlothen, sisters Donna (Danny) Waters & Jo Carol Wilkins, brother Eddie Dean, sisters in law Carolyn (Terry) Wilson, Wanda (Steve) Darson, & Joyce Pettitt, several nieces and nephews and all of her grandchildren (some of which fondly referred to her as “Grandma Alabama”)

She was preceded in death by her parents, in laws Ted Estridge Sr & Marie Estridge, brother in law Lewis Wilkins, aunts & uncles, as well as nephew Eric Wilson & niece Sarah Pettitt.

Visitation will be held at Berryhill funeral home on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, from 12pm to 2pm, with service following at 2pm. Reverend Mike McFarland and Reverend James Kennard officiating. Burial will follow at Huntsville Memory Gardens.
