Debra “Debbie” Elaine Mayo, age 67 of Greenbrier passed away Saturday, October 9, 2021 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Austin & Bell Funeral Home Greenbrier. Burial will follow in Lights Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4pm to 8pm on Monday, October 11th and on Tuesday, October 12th from 11am until the time of service at the funeral home.
She was born in Nashville, TN on August 20, 1954 to the late Jimmy Walker and Louise Averett Walker. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Lamb.
She worked as a housekeeper and was a member of Highland Chapel Baptist Church. She loved her family very much and spending time with them. She enjoyed cooking and shopping.
She is survived by her husband, Pete Mayo of Greenbrier; son, Shane Brown (fiance’ – Rachel Taylor) of Greenbrier; daughter, Mandy (Wayne) Johnson of Greenbrier; mother, Louise Averett Walker; brother, Tim (Scott) Walker of Hermitage; sisters, Sebbie (Terry) Hooper of Greenbrier, Darlene (Alan) Grundy of Ridgetop, Jackie (Tim) Wright of Pleasant Hill, IL; grandchildren, Austin Meadows, Kara Brown, Joshua Meadows, Jessi Brown, Whitney Collins; great-grandchildren, Olivia Lyons and Greyson Collins.
