It is with regret we announce the passing of Debra Carol Kirk, age 70, of Fayetteville, TN, formerly of Delaware.
Deb was born on May 26, 1955, in Wilmington, DE, to the late James Levie Hayes, Sr., and Carolyn Austin Hayes. She had a green thumb, enjoyed growing plants and refinishing old furniture. Deb passed away on September 30, 2025, at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, AL.
Survivors include her partner of 20 years, Paul Cox; son, Shawn (Lynette) Kirk of MD; daughter, Melissa (Marty) Connor of DE; grandchildren, Karri McCoy, Adriana Kirk, and David (Chelsea) Connor; five great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Jimmy (Peggy) Hayes, Michele Hayes, Kevin (Millie) Hayes, Darryl Hayes, Greg (Sharon) Hayes, and Timmy Hayes; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Deb was preceded in death by her brother, Donnie Hayes.
Private family services will be scheduled at a later date in Delaware.
