Deborah King Profile PhotoDeborah Joyce King, 75, of Moulton, Alabama passed away Friday, May 24, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Lawrence Funeral Home. Burial will be at Jones Chapel Cemetery.

Born on September 25, 1948, to Elmer and Emily Borden Cornelius, Deborah worked as a CNA her whole life. Deborah enjoyed sitting on her front porch watching the hummingbirds and drinking her coffee. Deborah’s hobbies included gardening in her flower beds, spending time with her grandchildren, and working.

Survivors include her four daughters, Felicia (John) Tidwell, Myra Lovelace (Billy Smith), Synetheia King, and Cora Beth King (John Garrison); grandchildren, Brittney Creasy, Ginger (Michael) Henderson, Jocey (Ryder) Crites, Jacob (Shawnee) Lovelace, Jessy Lovelace, Jeffrey Smith, Angel King, John Garrison, Aliza Garrison, William Garrison; great-grandchildren, Kartur Kilpatric, Myles Harris, Alonni Cooper, Cory Henderson, Monika Pennington, Alexx Henderson, Evelyn Crites, Leo Crites, Ezra Lovelace; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Emily Cornelius; husband, Thomas W. King Jr.; granddaughter, Mahalie Freeman; ten brothers, Talmadge Cornelius, Walter Cornelius, Marion Cornelius, Jack Cornelius, Charlie Cornelius, Rual Cornelius, Jimmy Cornelius, Marvin Cornelius, Johnny Cornelius, and Billy Cornelius; two sisters, Cassie Wooden and Lassie Cornelius.

Pallbearers will be John Tidwell, Jacob Lovelace, John Garrison, Kartur Kilpatric, Jeffrey Cornelius, Emmet Ayers, Billy “Little Billy” Cornelius, and Timothy Cornelius.

Honorary Pallbearer is Billy Smith.

The family extends special thanks to the nurses and staff of Southern Care Hospice.
