Ms. Deborah “Debbie” Phillips Mason (affection known as Mama Duck), age 70, of the New Canaan Community of Arab, Alabama passed away Monday, January 8, 2024 at her residence. Ms. Mason was born May 13, 1952 in Cedar Grove, New Jersey and an Arab resident for the last 25 years. She was the daughter of Lawrence and Mary Phillips. Her husband, Wallace Mason, preceded her in death. Debbie worked in customer service at Delta Com. She was a big Alabama fan, loved going out to eat, and being around people. Debbie was fond of animals and enjoyed the company of her pets, a bird, a dog and 2 cats.
Debbie is survived by her good friends Samantha Walker, Rodney Walker, Cynthia Martin, Michael Martin, Nevaeh Martin, Emma Martin and Nancy Dunsmore.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wallace Mason and her parents Lawrence and Mary Phillips.
