Mrs. Debby Carter, age 65 of Pensacola, FL. passed away peacefully on Friday, May 17, 2024 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola. She was born September 23, 1958 in Scottsboro, AL. Debby was a devoted wife, compassionate mother and wonderful friend. She found her life’s work in mental health counseling, and spent more than 25 years advocating for others.
She is survived by her husband, Chuck Jacobs; daughters Kendra Carter (Mark Coxwell) and Allison Carter (Kody King); treasured friend Kaylene Coffey; and other beloved family and friends.
Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by her parents, Oz and Joan Willard; and husband Kenneth Carter.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Brown officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at noon Tuesday before the service.
