Debbie Lynn Sisco Owens, 65, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2025, at her home in Pontotoc, MS. A life full of love, strength, and simplicity. Debbie was a devoted mother, loving grandmother, and a cherished friend to many. Known for her kind heart and generous spirit, Debbie lived a life centered around family and faith, and the simple joys of country living. She never hesitated to lend a helping hand, offering support with grace and warmth at every opportunity.
A proud Christian woman, Debbie worked tirelessly to provide for her children, balancing her responsibilities with unwavering love and determination. She was strong-willed and could be feisty when the moment called for it, a reflection of her inner strength and deep convictions. Debbie had a passion for the outdoors, her yard, filled with vibrant, lovingly tended flowers, was her sanctuary, a space she cared for every day and protected with pride. She found peace in nature, whether she was fishing, relaxing under the open sky, or spending time with her beloved animals.
In the quiet evenings Debbie enjoyed winding down on her laptop, playing her favorite games as the stars came out over the countryside she adored. Life in Pontotoc County suited her perfectly – simple, serene, and filled with the music she loved. Debbie Owens will be remembered not only for her hard work and deep faith, but for the warmth she brought into every life she touched. Her legacy of love, laughter, and strength lives on in those who knew her best.
Survivors include her son, Andy Owens (Jennifer), her daughter, Faye Owens, her brothers, Billy Sisco (Liliana) and Chris Sisco (Molly), her sisters, Ann Whitehead (Terry) and Vicky Todd (Michael), her sister-in-law, Peggy Sisco, her nieces and nephews, cousins, her grandchildren, Gabi Brown, Alyssia Brown, Heidi Bland, Devin Owens, Natalie Owens, Terri Owens, Gage Linley, and Austin Timmons, and her great-grandson, Waylon Enis.
She was preceded in death by her mother Sally Sisco, her father, Bill Sisco, her 2 daughters, Jacklyn Renae “Nana” Owens and Brandi Colburn, her grandparents, and her brother, Randy Sisco.
A Memorial service will be held on Thursday evening, September 18, 2025, at 6PM at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc with Bro. J.J. McVay officiating. Visitation will begin at 5PM.
