Debbie Gail Watson, 70, of Empire, Alabama, passed away peacefully at her home on August 6, 2026.
She leaves behind her soulmate and husband of 48 years, Gary. Together they raised five children: Brad (Mallory) Watson, Kyle (Katie) Watson, Kayla (Rob) Decker, Tabitha (Dave) Blaut, and Josh Watson, and was later blessed with five grandchildren.
Debbie was a wonderful example of love and compassion, which was shown in her and Gary’s 15 years as foster parents. She believed that all of God’s creatures deserved love and endless forgiveness—a devotion that extended deeply to her cherished fur babies who brought so much joy and warmth to her heart.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, August 9, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Dilworth Church of Christ Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Debbie’s honor to your local food bank, honoring her lifelong dedication to caring for others in need.
