Deanna Marie Jordi, 81 years old, of Bridgeport Alabama, was welcomed home by our Lord, Jesus Christ on January 20th 2021, in Chattanooga, TN, surrounded by her loving family in heaven and on earth.
Deanna Jordi was born December 10, 1939 in Minneapolis, MN. She met her loving husband while square dancing during college. Having earned her Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Minnesota in 1958.
Deanna is truly missed by her children Michael, Lena, Julie, Stephen, Thomas, John and Anne. Her sister, Marge and by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well by her large list of extended family and friends.
Deanna Jordi was greeted by those preceding her death; her loving parents Leroy and Winnifred Cartier, her loving husband of 45 years Eli Jordi, and her son Timothy Jordi.
Deanna Jordi thoroughly enjoyed gardening, canning, dehydrating, reading, playing her mountain dulcimer, and following her faith in Christ. She was an active member of her church (Our Lady of Lourdes), her book club, and dulcimer group (The ‘Musketeers Group – Southern Style’). She also loved learning new things and teaching others her passions.
Father Mark Schultz will be celebrating Mass of the Christian Burial Friday, 11:00 A.M. January 22, 2021, with Visitation at 10:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, South Pittsburg, TN.
She will be laid to eternal rest with her devoted husband at the Chattanooga National Cemetery 1200 Bailey Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to: St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Pro-Life ministries, or Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 700 Holly Ave, South Pittsburg, TN 37380.
Deanna’s parting words: “Don’t lose your faith and love in Christ, as He has never lost His faith and love in you.”
