Dean Miller Fanning, 87, of Florence, passed away January 31, 2024, at Columbia Cottage Assisted Living. Mrs. Fanning loved Alabama football. She was a graduate of Coffee High School, and was a member of First Baptist Church, Florence. She had a great wit and personality, a kind spirit, and was loved by all who knew her.
Visitation will be Friday, February 2, 2024, from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Park. Officiating will be Ed Haag.
Mrs. Fanning is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, R. E. Fanning, Jr.; and sons, Steven Fanning and Mark Fanning.
She is survived by her daughter, Paige Fanning Abernathy, Florence; grandson, Grayson Keith Abernathy.
