Dean Boatwright Pounders, age 80, of Phil Campbell, passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at North Alabama Medical Center.
Mrs. Pounders loved going to flea markets and yard sales and was always determined to find a good buy. She loved her children and her grandchildren and leaves behind many wonderful memories.
A private family graveside service will be at Shady Grove Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William & Bessie (Frederick) Boatwright; and brother, Harry Boatwright.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Earl Pounders (Cindy), Denise McCulloch (Billy Ogle), Patrick Pounders (Rebecca), Waylon Pounders (Felicia); grandchildren, Heather (Travis), Kyle (Natalie), Jessie (Leah), James (Christy), Chris, Beth (Austin), Cody, Christy; a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and nieces, Teresa and Norma.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the nurses and staff of Terrace Manor Nursing Home, NAMC ER, and the nurses and staff of NAMC CCU Unit for the care shown to our mother and grandmother. Spry Memorial Chapel assisted the family.
