Memorial service for David Wayne Messer, age 60, of Decatur, will be Thursday, April 29, 2021, 1:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Steve Smith officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
Mr. Messer, who died Friday, April 23, 2021, at the Parkway Campus of Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born May 17, 1960, in Decatur, to Royce Edwin Messer and Irene Goslin Messer. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Patricia Sims.
He is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Glaze (Tyler) of Decatur, and Amber Nicole Eells of Nashville, TN; one son, Robert Grant Messer of Pulaski, TN; six grandchildren, Lucas Glaze and Zachary Glaze, both of Decatur, Augustus Watson and Remington Watson, both of Nashville, TN, Amelia Glaze of Decatur, and Rebecca Emily Jean Messer of Pulaski, TN; two nephews, Eddie Middlebrooks and Steve Middlebrooks, both of Decatur.
