David Stone Crosslin Sr. – Obituary

David Stone Crosslin Sr. was born April 21, 1938, and died Aug. 9, 2015, at his home in Dallas, Texas.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 21, 2015, with the memorial service following at 2 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home Chapel. Family and friends will have an opportunity to tell memories of times past. Brother Don McGee will officiate. David was preceded in death by his parents, Travis and Pearl Penick Crosslin.
He is survived by his son, David Stone Crosslin Jr.; brothers, Philip and Jonathan (Dana) Crosslin; sister, Marilyn (Hollis) Armstrong; nieces and nephews, John (Dulce) Crosslin, Martha (Bryan) Thompson, Ethan Crosslin, Jacob Willingham, Beth (B.J.) Lawrence, Hollis (Amy) Armstrong and Heath (Kala) Armstrong; and great-nieces and nephews, Isbell and Corbin Thompson, Cole and Riley Lawrence and Jaiden, Kailey and Addison Armstrong.
David was a graduate of Colbert County High School and a member of the National Guard of Alabama and Mississippi. He was a graduate of Bebout Chiropractic College in Indiana. Since 2008, he was a member of Walnut Hill Church of Christ.
The family wishes to thank Jo Clement and Marion Stansell, David’s friends and caregivers from Dallas. John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
