David Stanley Hardeman, age 67 of Cherokee, died Saturday, January 30, 2016. Visitation will be Thursday 6-8 at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. His funeral service will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Rob Stansky officiating. Burial will be in Riverton Cemetery.
David was born in New Orleans, LA, but was raised and lived in Riverton and Cherokee. He married Darlene Renwick on December 15, 1978. He was a veteran of the Mississippi Army National Guard and a member of UA local #760. He retired from TVA Colbert Fossil Plant as a steamfitter and pipefitter after thirty years of service and was a member of the Methodist Church. David was a loving and devoted husband and father who was selfless and charitable.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Freeman and Lillian Hayes Hardeman of Riverton and sister, Joan Parker (Carlton) of Iuka, MS.
Survivors include his wife Darlene Renwick Hardeman of Sheffield; sons, Matthew Hardeman and husband Justin and Daniel Hardeman and wife Susanna all of Birmingham; sister, Kay Hardeman Rea and husband Mike of Kelso, WA; mother-in-law, Edna Rickard, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family will serve as pallbearers.
