David Ray Miller – Obituary

davidDavid Ray Miller, age 83, of Owens Cross Roads, Korean War veteran, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday. Throughout his short struggle with his illness, Mr. Miller was supported by many. While he completed his course, his faith never wavered and he will be missed by many. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, five brothers and one sister.

Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Shirley Diane Miller; children, Sandra Windbiel (Ken) of WI, David Miller (Sandy) of IN, Marvin Miller of Huntsville, Phoebe Keel (Robbie) of New Hope, Amanda Ginn of Birmingham, and Brandy Wilson of Owens Cross Roads; grandchildren, Scott and Christine Windbiel, John David, Aubrey and Evan Miller, Bobbi Mae Sams, AIC Matthew Keel, Cameron and Maximus Ginn and Natalie Brown; one great-grandchild, sister, Marie Short of FL; and brother Marvin Miller (Sonya) of TN. David was loved by many sisters and brothers-in-law, as well as nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind a great friend, Charlie Robinson.

The family would like to give a special Thank you to Hospice Family for their wonderful care and compassion.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Woodville, AL.

We forgot to mention Dad’s other Great Grandchild, Jolie Dane Miller, age 5, born to Aubrey Jean Miller (Goldstein) on May 9,2009. I’m sorry Diane. Grand Pa would have adored her if they’d had the chance to meet! She favors the MILLER good looks so much! I’ll post a picture for you later ! We love you all so much! Suzi and Kids! <3
