David Ray, of Elkmont, passed away at Valley View Health & Rehab, on Tuesday, July 22nd, 2025, at the age of 61. Born on January 31st, 1964, in Athens, he was the son of Jim “Bud” and Betty Hargrove Ray.
David is survived by his wife, Gina Ray. He also leaves behind his fur-babies Harlee and Bailey, a niece Amanda England (Chris), and nephews Brian Ray (Anjillyn) and Cody Roper (Crystal), and several great-nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Betty Ray, as well as his brother, Charlie Ray.
A visitation in David’s honor will take place on Friday, July 25th, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Following the visitation, a graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM at Hastings Cemetery, officiated by Keith Davis.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in David memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
