David Micky Cornelius, 64 of Arab passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at his residence. Micky was born August 17, 1957, in Cullman County the son of Gladis Earl and Geraldine Robertson Cornelius. He was a 1975 graduate of Holly Pond High School. He worked in sales for McGriff Tire for 33 years before retiring. He had been Store Manager at Pesnell Tire for the last 2 ½ years. He and Darlene Pesnell were married on October 24, 1989.
He is survived by his Wife: Darlene Cornelius of Arab; Children: Chris (Tara) Cornelius of Holly Pond, Nicole (Adam) Holmes of Arab and Cody Cornelius of Arab; Mother: Geraldine Sweatmon of Holly Pond; Grandchildren: Benjamin Cornelius, Cooper Cornelius, Addi Hopkins, Harmony Holmes and Kayd Martin. He was preceded in death by his Father: Earl Cornelius; Brother: Ricky Cornelius and Sister: Dianne Kilgore.
Funeral Service will be 12:00 noon Saturday, June 4, 2022, at Gober Funeral Chapel with Brother Arthur Feemster officiating. Burial will be in Gilliam Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Barry Pesnell, Bobby Chatham, Tim Burgett, Lynn Waldrop, Charlie Whitehead, Phillip Whitehead and Clent Burns.
