Funeral service for David Mark Segler, Sr., 71, will be on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Carroll officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing and burial to follow at Falkville City cemetery. Visitation will be at Peck Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
Mr. Segler passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Monday, July 28, 2025. He was born on April 6, 1954, in Marshall County to Irby and Margaret Segler.
David started his career working with NASA and finished at Chrysler until he retired from UAW as a sheet medalist. He was a very talented and self-taught musician and could play any instrument. He wrote his own music and was in a band since high school. He was active in ministry and praise and worship. He loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, but loved his dogs more!
He was preceded in death by his parents, Irby and Margaret Segler; brother, Cecil Segler; late wife, Rita Segler; niece, Candy Segler; and granddaughter, Madison Segler.
Survivors include:
Wife- Wanda Segler,
Sons- David Segler Jr. and Tim McWhorter (Annalisa),
Daughters- Chasity Rothwell, Mary Hamilton and Kim Dover (Joseph),
Fifteen grandchildren and
Sixteen great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Cody Woodard, Dayton Peebles, Trent Segler, Derrick Segler, Hunter Thorn and Perry Thorn
Honorary Pallbearers will be Braxton Corum and Cecil Segler Jr.
