David Lee Tyree, 71, of Addison, Alabama, passed away at Cullman Regional Medical Center on Sunday, June 7, 2026. David was born on December 9, 1954, to James and Susan Tyree. He served in the United States Army for many years and worked as a construction worker throughout his career. He enjoyed working on cars and building hot rods, and one of his favorite pastimes was fishing. David shared a special bond with his beloved Chihuahua, Charlen, who was his constant companion. He brought joy to those around him and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. David is survived by his sister, Donita (Johnny) Sheppard, along with a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Tyree; his parents, James and Susan Tyree; his brothers, Randy Tyree and James Lynn Tyree; and his sister, Patricia Lane. David’s memory will be cherished by his family and friends, and his legacy of hard work, kindness, and friendship will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
