David Lee “Tubie” King, 58 of Arab Alabama, The Ruth Community, died Thursday December 8, 2016 at Marshall Medical Center North.
Mr. King was born June 28, 1958 in Marshall County to Thomas Leonard King and Eturlia Hardin King. He worked as a carpenter and lived in the Ruth Community. He played baseball in his younger years and loved Alabama Football.
He is survived by his very special friend: Sherry Baez; his children and in laws: April and Steven Beasley, Amber and Robby Beasley; Christina and Shane King and Melinda and Michael Howie; his brothers and sister-in-law: Thomas Ray and Pat King, Rex McGee King and a sister and brother-in-law: Opal “Sis” and Johnny Martin; grandchildren: Stormy Beasley, Laci Beasley. Madison Beasley, Heather Beasley, Steven Beasley, Ethan King, Eli Beasley and Zach Beasley; great grandchildren: Kobi Martin and Lydia Freeland. He was preceded in death by two brothers: Bobby King and Jimmy Paul King.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday December 12, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Brothers: Joel Mitchell and Steven Funderburk, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Oak Cemetery/Ruth with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel directing.
Pallbearers will be James Willis, Tim Cranford, Chris Kirkland, Neal Martin, Barry Pace and Louis Cranford.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Sunday December 11, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the funeral home to help with expense.
