David Larry Oliver, age 68, from Blue Springs Community in Phil Campbell, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Helen Keller Hospital.
David proudly served his nation in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. He was a good man, a good father, and never met a stranger.
The visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon, Monday, February 13, 2017 at Spry Memorial Chapel, with the funeral following at 12:00 in the chapel. Officiating will be Bro. Chad Beck. Burial will be at Blue Springs Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Harvey Oliver and Lois Townsend Oliver; and brothers, William Harvey Oliver, Jr., Paul Oliver, and Jerry Oliver. He leaves to cherish his memory, his sons, Jay Wesley Oliver (wife, Jo), Nathaniel Cody Oliver (wife, Rebekah); granddaughters, Abigail Alisa Oliver, Lucille Amelia Messer; brother, Silas Oliver; sister, Jean; fiancé, Mary and her daughter, Andrea; and numerous nieces & nephews.
The pallbearers will be Jay Oliver, Cody Oliver, Keith Wilson, and Josh Wilson.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses of Helen Keller Hospital for your love and care shown to our father.
