David Kent “Coon” Bevill, 81, passed away Friday, January 10, 2025, at NMMC-Hospice Unit in Tupelo. A graduate of Ecru High School, Coon enjoyed hunting, softball, karate, dominoes, rook, wrestling, and football. An avid dog lover, especially of his dog, Jack, he was a good friend to all who knew him.
Survivors include his two sisters, Carolyn Ethridge and Peggy Lowe, six nieces and nephews, ten great nieces and nephews; and numerous good friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Bessie Ilene Farris Bevill, his father, Hester Carl Bevill, and his brother, Jimmy Dale Bevill.
Services will be 2PM Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc with Bro. Ed Vitagliano officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 14th 5-8PM and 1PM until service time on Wednesday. Burial will follow in Buchanan Baptist Church. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Wells Russell, Ronnie Russell, Anthony Davis, Tim Sartin, Tim McCarver, Eli Littlejohn, and Parker Flint.
