David Jackson Ball, 85, of Harvest, Alabama, died on Saturday, February 19, following a massive heart attack three days earlier.
Dave was born to parents Alvin and Ola Ball, the sixth of seven children. He married Virginia Wells in 1959. They had two children, David Jr. of Bethesda, Maryland, and Cynthia Ball Ledbetter of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Dave retired from civil service, where he was the Principal Contracting Officer for USASDC, in 1988. He then enjoyed a second career as an executive of Colsa Corporation.
Dave is survived by his wife Virginia; his children Dave Jr. and Cindy; and his grandchildren Nicholas Ledbetter, Savannah Ledbetter, Kate Ledbetter and Margaret Ball.
A memorial service is being scheduled and donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
