David Hugh King born on February 23, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan departed his life on Monday, October 28, 2013 at his residence.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn King of 58 years; six children, Vickie Lynn Truex and husband, Don of Temple Terrance, Florida, Kerri Leverette and husband, Steve, Lori Fielder, Julie Flatt and husband, Ron all of Athens, Mark David King of Tullahoma, Tennessee and James Hugh King of Athens; also survived by a sister, JoAnne Chastain of Ocoee, Florida; 17 grand-children and 9 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers and to honor Mr. King’s wishes the family request donations be made to the American Heart Association or Little Light of Mine Foundation 627 Roy Long Road Athens, AL 35611.
A private family service will be held.
