Funeral services for David Harwood, 75, of Prospect, Tenn., will be Friday, February 8, 2013, at 1 p.m. at McConnell Memorial Chapel with Pastor Lloyd Schomburg officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home.
Mr. Harwood, who died Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at his residence, was born April 5, 1937, in Flint, Mich., to Ira Virgil Harwood and Addie McDougall Harwood. He was a retiree from the USMC and Delphi. His parents preceded him in death.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Sue Harwood; one son, Ira V. Harwood of U.S. Navy, Japan; two daughters, Dawn Massey of Ozark, Ala., and Elizabeth Harwood of Athens; one sister, Laura Vanderford of Flint, Mich.; four grandchildren, Daniel Clifton of Texas, Sean Clifton of Georgia, Katherine Toney of Athens and Caleb Toney of U.S. Air Force, Korea; and four great-grandchildren.
