David Harold Roberts, 76 of Sumiton, passed away July 28, 25 at his home surrounded by his family.
David was a 1967 graduate of Dora High School. He was the owner of Roberts Cabinets. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a collector of antique cars. He loved car shows, and he loved to travel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodie and Edna Roberts, his brothers-in-law, Harry Russell and Jimmy Barton and his father and mother-in-law, Lecil and Aileen Barton.
He leaves behind his wife of 58 years, Brenda Roberts. He was proud father of Steven Roberts (Bethany), Michael Roberts and Jennifer Moon (Chase). He was the best Papa to Dylan Roberts (Maleah), Dalton Roberts (Peyton), Natalie Broadhead and Arlie Mae Moon. He also leaves behind, his sister, Brinda Russell and his brother, Wayne Roberts (Faye), along with many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Friday Aug. 1, 25 at 1:00 pm in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Billy Barton will officiate. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Gardens in Adamsville. Visitation is Friday from 12-1 pm at New Horizon.
