David Harmon Bowman, 85, of Athens, AL, passed away December 30, 2015 after an extended illness. Mr. Bowman was a retired Church of Christ minister and a United States Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. He was also a Major in the USAF/Civil Air Patrol, a member of the Amateur Radio Emergency Service (Call sign AC408), and a member of the Emergency Management Agency as a Skywarn Radio Volunteer.

Son: David Jackson Bowman of Athens
Daughter: Donna Bowman Bass of Nashville, TN

He was preceded in death by parents David Walter Bowman and Leona Gertrude Orr Bowman and sisters Wanda Bowman Hagood and Helen Bowman.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 2, 2015 from 11:30 A.M.-2:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M. with Howell Bigham, Barry Grider, and Artie Collins officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Church of Christ Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Leon Quillen, David Quillen, Jerry Crownover, Mike Sparks, Scott Bobo, and Michael Johns.
