David Granica, 72, of Huntsville, passed away Tuesday. David was born in Menomie, WI. He served in the United States Navy from 1965-1969 and the Naval Reserves from 1969-1971. He recently had retired from working in the power industry ensuring millions of Americans had reliable and consistent electricity. David was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved hunting, shooting, gardening, and spending time with his five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Maria Granica; his children, David Granica of Huntsville, AL and Scott Granica of Buckeye, AZ; five grandchildren; and his sister, Ruthy Schmidt.
Visitation will be held Saturday, September 22, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home followed by a memorial service at 10:30 a.m.
