Mr. David Eugene Stafford, age 78, of McMinnville, TN passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at his residence. He was born on August 28, 1947 to parents Frank Ralph Stafford and Edna Mae Magness Stafford. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of Charles Creek the Baptist Church. He was a dump truck driver with Push’n “N” Digg’n for many years. He would carefully design furniture and bring his pieces to life for his family and friends to enjoy. He was the definition of the jack of all trades. He wore the name “papa” proudly as his grandkids were the light of his world.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years Charlene Presley Stafford, children Jonathan (Shae) Stafford, Thomas (Megan) Stafford, and Kasey (Emmitt) Narramore, grandchildren Tayden Stafford, Acelynn Stafford, Praylynn Stafford, Hazelynn Stafford, Riley Russell, Rance Stafford, Rylon Smartt, Malakai Narramore, Hutton Narramore, Emma Narramore, and Harper Narramore, great grandchild Kason Russell, and brother Frank Stafford. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He is preceded in death by his parents Frank Ralph Stafford and Edna Mae Magness Stafford, and sisters Dorothy Bailey, Norma Parham, and Jane Goff.
Funeral services for Mr. David Stafford is scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Saturday, June 13, 2026 in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Bro Darrell Cantrell will officiate. Interment will follow at Charles Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at 2:00 P.M. at McMinnville Funeral Home.
