David Elbert Nichols, 82, Tuscumbia, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023. Visitation will be Saturday, January 6, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Sid Fulford and Greg Pace officiating. Interment will be in Helen Crigger Cemetery, Munford, TN.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Dorothy Nichols; and brother, Steve Nichols.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Cochran Nichols; children, Kristy Van Rensselaer (Mike) and Craig Nichols; stepson, Doug Cochran; brother, Bryan Nichols; grandchildren, Miranda Van Rensselaer, Alexander Van Rensselaer, Hannah Nichols, Kayleigh Nichols, April Nichols, and Sam Nichols; and stepgrandchildren, Madelyn Cochran and Wesley Cochran.
