Notice for David Earl Archie

David Earl Archie, 72, passed away at his home on May 30, 2026. He was born on February 9, 1954, in Caraway, Arkansas, to Charles David and Mary Francis Gray Archie. David worked as a maintenance supervisor at Belmont Homes until his retirement. Throughout his career, he also worked as a bounty hunter and a carpenter. He was an excellent archer and enjoyed hunting in his younger years. Many will remember him for being an amazing prankster. He also enjoyed reading his Bible and learning God’s word daily.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, at the Ebenezer Baptist Church near Vina, Alabama, with Bro. Johnny Gale and Bro. Tim Hoskins officiating.  Burial will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home of Fulton is entrusted with the arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Regina Ann Edwards Archie; his son, David Earl Archie II; his daughters, Kimberly Kaye Thomason (Phillip), Tina Darshell Webb (Randall), Phoebe Ann Reyes (Smoke), and Tiffeny Christina Payne (Coty); his brothers, Timmy Archie (Nancy), Billy Wayne Elliot (Jane), Dale Ledlow (Lynn), and Timothy Hoskins (Tracy); his sisters, Emma Faye McGee and Floria Mae Blaylock; his mother-in-law, Faye Edwards; ten grandchildren, Tyler Johnson (Sabrina), Heather Walton (Michael), Kacee Zaccheo (Matthew), Kaitlyn Gann (Jacob), Nathaniel Webb, Sawyer Webb, Savannah Coggin, Annafaye Caldwell, Bentlee Payne, and Jocelynn Claire-Ann Reyes; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, C. D. and Mary Francis Gray Archie; one brother, Billy Charles Archie; one sister, Charlotte Shamlin; a great-granddaughter, Keeley Johnson; and his father-in-law, Rex Edwards.

Pallbearers will be David Earl Archie II, Chris Archer, Nathaniel Webb, Timothy Hoskins, Phillip Thomason, and Coty Payne

Honorary pallbearers will beKenneth Reyes Jr. (Smoke), Billy Wayne Elliott, Randy Edwards, “Little” David Archie, Tyler Archie, Ronnie Edwards, Dale Ledlow, Tyler Johnson, B.J. Archie, and Matthew Zaccheo.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 1, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Fulton and from noon until service time Tuesday at Ebenezer Baptist Church.
