The funeral for David Dennis Smith, 65, will be today at Parkway Funeral Home at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Brent Gillespie officiating. Burial will be in Graham. Visitation will be today from noon-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Smith, who died Thursday, Dec. 10, 2015, in Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born Feb. 16, 1950, to Cecil Francis Smith and Avie Othen Terry. He was preceded in death by mother, Avie Othen Terry, and father, Cecil Francis Smith.
Survivors include wife, Marie Smith, Moulton, Alabama; son, Bobby (Tina) Smith; brothers, Billy Jean Smith, James Lee Smith, and Jackie Wayne Smith; sisters, Elizabeth Kelly, Darean Martin, Debbie Copeland, and Connie Kimbrough; grandchildren, Misty Ann Smith, Lucrecia Marie Smith, and Robin Paige Smith; and great-grandchildren, Sabrina Marie Parker, David James Collier, Bracean Davis, and Houston Simmons.
Pallbearers will be Bradley Cross, Andey Melson, Randy Melson, Shawn Box, Kacey Hall, and Patrick Smith.
