David Clive Harris, 70, of Huntsville, passed away suddenly at home on Saturday. He was a graduate of Auburn University and a professional engineer, retired from NASA. After retirement, his passion was playing rock and blues bass guitar with various local bands.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. and Mrs. R. Rhys Harris. Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Donna Clark Harris; children, John Scott Harris, Lisa Greene (Philip), and Scott Younger; brother, Dr. R. Rhys Harris (Jacqueline); sisters, Alison Wedgeworth (Michael) and Lailah Glasscock (Jeff); and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 3, at Monte Sano Methodist Church.
