clifton_davidMr. David Clifton, age 51, of Fayette, Alabama, passed away Sunday, May 11th, 2014, at Northwest Medical Center in Winfield, Alabama.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 14th, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Norwood Chapel in Fayette, Alabama, with Rev. Steve Strange and Rev. Steve Baccus officiating. Burial will follow in the Fayette Memorial Gardens cemetery. The visitation will be Tuesday from 5;00 – 8:00 p.m. at Norwood Chapel, Fayette, Alabama.

David was born February 21, 1963 in Guin, AL. He was a resident of Fayette for seventeen years and a former resident of Sulligent for thirty-three years. David was employed with Northeast Mississippi Medical Center (Marion Regional Medical Center) in Hamilton, AL for several years. He formerly taught school in Mississippi and at Fayette Academy. For several years, he enjoyed playing the piano for the Crownsmen’s Quartet.

Survivors include his wife, Paula Madison Clifton of Fayette; one son, Madison Clifton of Fayette; his mother, Billie Joyce Clifton of Sulligent; father and mother-in-law, Macon and Frances Madison of Fayette; brother and sister-in-law, Keith and Regina Madison and nephew Gibson Madison of Fayette; aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Leon Clifton in 1985; his grandparents, Troy and Fannie Clifton and Edward and Avis Robison.

Pallbearers are Michael Madison, Max Weaver, Steve Nolen, Johnny Stockman, Jamie Robison, Michael Turman, Mikie Turman and Jason Clifton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Boy Scouts Troop 45.
