David Blakely, 87, of Ripley passed away Thursday, May 15, 2025 at Lauderdale Community Living Center. Visitation will begin at 9 AM Saturday at Garner Funeral Home in Ripley with funeral services to follow at 11 AM. Interment will be in Ripley Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Blakely was a retired employee of West Tennessee State Prison. He was also a member of Ripley Church of Christ and was a United States Army Veteran.
The widower of Patsey Blakely, he is survived by 2 step-daughters Pamela Tankersly of Heber Springs, AR and Charlotte Hamilton of Edgemont, AR, 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
