David Beck, age 73, of Douglas, passed away on November 30, 2025, at his residence. He was born on September 13, 1952, to the late J.P. and Barbara Beck.
David proudly served 20 years in the United States Air Force. During his service, he was stationed overseas in Decimomannu, where he and his fellow servicemen were among the first members of the USAF to arrive, requiring them to build their own living quarters from the ground up. His dedication, resilience, and commitment to service were defining qualities throughout his life. In his spare time, David enjoyed gardening and tending to his flowers, finding peace and joy in nurturing the things he grew.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Alice Beck; children, Michael (Vanessa) Beck, Gregory (Deanna) Beck, and Sarah (Russell) Chase; grandchildren, Rayne Howell, Rebekah Chase, David Chase; brothers, Joseph Beck, and Steven Beck; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Wesley Beck and Paul Beck.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, in the Chapel of Adams Brown Service Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mt. Hebron Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in the Mt. Hebron Community.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, from 4:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
