David B Medford, age 80, husband of Susanne Medford, and a resident of Centerville, passed away Saturday evening, July 8, 2023, at his residence.
David was born on February 10, 1943, in Memphis, Texas, and was the son of the late David N. Medford and the late Minnie Juanita Bishop Medford Manis. He served in the United States Air Force from 1961-1964 and in the United States Navy from 1965-1967. He married Susanne Buse on June 15, 1966, and together they had two children. David worked as an X-Ray Technologist at Kern General Hospital in Bakersfield, California before moving to Tennessee where he worked at Lewis County Hospital in Hohenwald for ten years and Goodlark Regional Medical Center in Dickson for fourteen years. He and his wife attended Our Savior Lutheran Church in Nashville.
David enjoyed fishing and playing the guitar and was a handyman who could fix anything. A very artistic person, he could draw, paint, make things with his hands, and do photography. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Edward (Kelly) Medford of Centerville and Staci (Robert) Warden of Centerville, and grandson, Bennett Warden.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Sandra Medford and Darryl Medford.
